A TEENAGER has been run over and killed by a bus.
It happened just after 7pm this evening in Forest Road, Walthamstow.
Police say they have not yet identified the teenager, who is male.
It happened close to a bus stop between the junctions with Blackhorse Road and Palmerston Road.
The double-decker bus was a number 123 heading west.
A police spokesman said: "Police were called at approximately 7.15pm following reports that a bus was in collision with a pedestrian on Forest Road.
"Officers and the London Ambulance Service attended the scene.
"A male, believed to be in his late teens, was pronounced dead at the scene.
"Next of kin are yet to be informed. Identification awaits."
Forest Road is tonight closed between Blackhorse Road and Palmerston Road.
It is likely to remain sealed off for some time while police investigate.
No-one has been arrested.
The 123, which runs roughly every ten minutes in the evenings, travels through Walthamstow connecting Wood Green and Ilford.
