RESIDENTS are being invited to come and give their ideas on how to improve a historical landmark which dates to as early as the 12th century.

A public meeting will be held next week Monday January 31 in the Committee Rooms at the Civic Offices, High street, Epping for anyone who is interested to comment on a document the council is drawing up about Copped Hall Conservation Area.

This is the parkland which surrounds the Georgian mansion, Copped Hall, currently under restoration, and is visible from the M25, between junction 26 and 27.

Epping Forest District Council has recently published a draft character appraisal and management plan which looks at the current state of the conservation area and highlights any areas that need improving.

Suggestions can be submitted in the night or during the eight weeks following the public meeting through the council's website.

The draft character appraisal and a copy of the electronic comments form will be available to view on the conservation pages of the council's website from January 31 or will be available to view at the council's planning reception from Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm, at the Civic Offices, Epping.
