A GOLF club collected £1,000 when it held a fund-raiser for the charity Multiple Sclerosis Action.
Dozens of residents turned out to the event at Essex Golf Club in Bury Road, Chingford, earlier this month.
The day included a variety of refreshments and a guest speech by Chingford and Woodford Green MP Iain Duncan Smith.
He said: "It was great to be a part of the fundraiser for MS Action.
"They are a remarkable charity who have turned around the lives of many people with multiple sclerosis and other neurological conditions in my constituency.
"The event seemed to be a great success, with a good turnout, and I hope it encouraged people to donate to what is a fantastic cause.”
