A THIRD arrest has been made in connection with a double murder.
Police arrested a 42-year-old man yesterday (January 25) on suspicion of murdering Lee Wallace, 25, of Debden Broadway, and Jayson Hassan, 28, from Bethnal Green.
Both men were shot outside a tower block in Islington at 4.30am on November 9 last year.
Mr Wallace died at the scene of the shooting in Britannia Row, while Mr Hassan died in hospital during the early hours of the following morning.
The suspect, who is from Ilford, is currently in custody at a police station in north London.
Last November two men, aged 27 and 42, were arrested in connection with the murders, before being bailed to return to police in February.
They have now been rearrested and are being held by police.
