COMMUNITY orchestra the Forest Philharmonic is set to perform at one of the country's leading concert halls this week.
The 80-strong group, which has been based in Waltham Forest since the 1960s, will play at the Queen Elizabeth Hall at the Southbank Centre this Thursday (February 3) from 7.30pm.
The performance will include renditions of Elgar's Cello Concerto and Tchaikovsky's 5th symphony.

Then on Sunday February 27 the orchestra plays a little closer to home with a show at Walthamstow Assembly Hall in Forest Road.
Starting at 6.30pm, the concert will include Berlioz's Symphonie Fantastique and Walton's Henry V Suite.
There will also be a pre-show talk at 5.30pm.
