A 16-YEAR-OLD has been charged in connection with protests in central London.
The teenage boy from Chingford was charged with possession of an article with intent to destroy or damage property and has been bailed to appear at West London Magistrates' Court this Thursday.
Last Saturday (January 29) in central London, thousands of students staged a protest march through Whitehall and Westminster against the raising of tuition fees and Government cuts.
The event was more peaceful than recent marches and afterwards some of the protesters joined anti-government demonstrations outside the Egyptian embassy.
Another man was charged in relation to the protest and seven others between the ages of 17-34 have been arrested and bailed pending further enquiries.
