MUSIC and media students organised a concert showcasing rising stars with a positive message.
The showcase on Saturday at Stratford City was headlined by rapper Wretch 32, supported by singers Crystal Harris, Jerome Thomas, Daryl McGranaghan, Imarni Blue and Kidtastic.
The artists told their life stories through their music to encourage the audience to pursue their dreams and focus on their career.
The event was organised by students at DV8 Training, based in Grange Road, Walthamstow, which was started in 2000 by Alexis Michaelides.
The organisation offers work-based diplomas and BTEC courses in the creative industries.
Mr Michaelides said: “Pointing to the recent government figures which show more than 15 per cent of young people in the UK are not in education, employment or training, DV8 is determined to reach out to as many of these young people as possible.”
“This is the reason that I want to go to work every day.
“The experience and services that DV8 provides is unique and we are very successful in supporting young people.”
