A MAN is due to appear in court today charged with the murder of a 33-year-old in Walthamstow.
Winston Brown died after being stabbed in Brunel Road at around 8am on Friday (April 1).
Anthony Townsend, 31, of Wellstead Rd, East Ham, is due to appear at Waltham Forest Magistrates Court today.
He was arrested on Sunday (April 3) on suspicion of murder, along with two men aged 43 and 28 and a woman aged 27.
The two men have been released, but the 27-year-old woman has been bailed to return to police in June.
Two people arrested at the scene shortly after the incident on Friday, a 39-year-old woman and a 43-year-old man, have also been released without charge.
Following the incident, Mr Brown who does not have a permanent address, was rushed to an east London hospital but died shortly afterwards from a stab wound to the chest.
The incident room at Barking is still open under detective chief inspector Stewart Hill.
