A TEENAGER who was badly hurt in a shooting is now out of intensive care and is expected to make a full recovery from his wounds.
The 17-year-old was hit at the Church Road end of Capworth Street, Leyton, at around 12.30am last Thursday (March 31).
He was in a critical condition but is now stable in hospital, police say.
No arrests have been made.
The force's Trident unit, which focuses on violent crime in the black community, is investigating.
Capworth Street is a known area for gang activity, however police are refusing to discuss further details about the case due to "operational reasons".
Sylvester Senyah, 33, was stabbed to death in the road in November last year.
A 40-year-old man and a 18-year-old boy were also injured in separate shootings in the street in September.
