FOUR men from Waltham Abbey were arrested this morning (Wednesday) on suspicion of dealing Class A drugs, in a series of police raids across the county.
Officers swooped on addresses throughout Essex and Kent as part of Operation Zinc, targeting those involved in a range of crimes, from burglary to drug dealing.
Those arrested in Waltham Abbey were aged 19, 25, 26 and 31.
Officers from the Kent and Essex Serious Crime Directorate co-ordinated the operation.
Assistant Chief Constable Gareth Wilson, who leads the directorate, said: "We have listened to what residents say concerns them the most, and are tackling criminality at all levels, from those involved in burglary and other theft-related crime, those who handle stolen goods, and those who use, deal and supply drugs, which can often fuel all other types of offending.”
