POLICE have found further body parts believed to belong to taxi driver Anthony Whitefield at the home of the man charged with his murder.

They are, however, refusing to reveal which body parts, for 'operational' reasons, although they will not say what these are.

Douglas Binet, 53, of Hanson Drive, Loughton, has been charged with murdering Mr Whitefield, 47, and will appear at Chelmsford Crown Court on June 27.

Father-of-two Mr Whitefield, of Bryony Close, Loughton, was last seen eight weeks ago when he left his partner's house to visit a friend.

One of his arms was found by a fisherman in Roding Lake, off Greensted Road, Loughton, on March 31 and the other in the same lake on April 2.

Detective Chief Inspector Lucy Robinson said: "During a search of Mr Binet's home address, further body parts were discovered which are suspected to be those of victim Tony Whitefield.

“Police continue to search for other remains."

Mr Binet will remain in police custody until his court appearance in June.
