CONCERNED children have told police officers about what makes them feel uncomfortable in the area around their primary school.

The group of nine and ten-year-olds from Mission Grove Primary School in Buxton Road, Walthamstow, walked with members of the High Street Safe Neighbourhoods Team to highlight problems.

The children took photographs of graffiti, discarded rubbish and alleyways without adequate lightning. Officers will now work to resolve the problems.

PCSO Jaz Alangh said: “This is the first time we have worked with the Mission Grove School.

“We are delighted with the support and enthusiasm the children have shown.

“We want to ensure the children feel safe on High Street Ward.”
