PUPILS took to the stage for an easter bonnets competition last week.
The Abridge Preschool pupils hunted for easter eggs and held a party before showing off their easter headgear in a parade to parents and teachers.
Caroline Sanders, 38, of the Abridge Preschool Parent’s Committee, said: “They were quite confident and proud up there on stage in their bonnets.
“We encouraged the children to release their imaginations and they created the bonnets themselves with a little help from their parents. There were some wonderful and very extravagant entries.”
The 2-4-year-olds were given an easter egg before the winners of the various categories were announced.
“It was great to see so many children there. There were very few last year as many left to start school but this year we had 25 pupils and it was good to see things back to full strength”, added Mrs Sanders.
