THE desperate father of a teenage girl who has been missing for more than a week has made an emotional appeal for information about his daughter.

Ann-Lucy Mokhoon, 15, was last seen leaving her grandmother's house in the Coppermill Lane area of Walthamstow at 8pm last Monday (April 4).

Her family do not know if she has run away or if she has been kidnapped, but she it is thought she could be with a boy who may be dangerous.

Police say the boy who is thought to be with her has a sister who lives in Lambeth, who Ann-Lucy was also in contact with prior to her disappearance.

A few days after the disappearance her cousin received a message on Facebook purportedly from her, asking to meet at Walthamstow Central station. She never turned up.

He then received a phone call from Ann-Lucy asking to meet in Leyton.

She again failed to show and nothing has been heard of her since.

Father Jaison Mokhoon, a charity worker, pleaded for anyone with information to come forward.

He said: "I just want to say to her that all our family love her very much and want her back.

"We want her back especially for her grandmother, who she is very close to - she is sick with worry about her."

Mr Mokhoon said his daughter never goes out in the evenings with friends and her disappearance is completely out of character.

He said: "She said she wanted to go to the toilet but slipped out of the house.

"I'm very, very worried. We just don't know what's happening and we're thinking all kinds of things.

“We just want to know she's safe.

"We would be so grateful to anyone who could give us even a small piece of information.

"At the time she left she was wearing a black top with a pink jacket and grey tracksuit trousers. She only had a handbag on her.

"She's got very long curly hair with brown highlights, has tan skin and she's quite slim."

Ann-Lucy has spent most of her life living in her native Mauritius with her mother, but moved to the UK two years ago.

Officers have searched addresses in Lambeth and Walthamstow without success.

Anyone who has seen her or has information about her disappearance is urged to contact PC Ken Davies, of Waltham Forest Police's Missing Persons Unit, on 0208 345 327.
