TWO men have been re-arrested in connection with a the murder of an 18-year-old man.
Wahab Zaaki was stabbed to death in Atlee Terrace, off Prospect Hill in Walthamstow, following a row involving a large group of youths.
Police have re-arrested two 19-year-old men, who were originally taken into custody on May 25 last year, after they received “significant new evidence”.
Both men had been on bail while the investigation continued.
Mr Zaaki, who lived in Old Church Road in Chingford, was stabbed in the chest on March 13, 2009.
He was rushed to hospital but died on the way there.
Shortly after the murder, Mr Zaaki's mother Barkis Damda spoke to the Guardian and urged people with information to help police catch whoever was responsible for her son's death.
A 23-year-old man was also arrested on suspicion of murder last May, along with two other men – aged 22 and 23 – on suspicion of perverting the course of justice. All are still on bail.
