DELIGHTED staff have offered their thanks to members of the public who donated easter eggs for children fleeing domestic violence and abuse.

Staff at The Abbey Funeral Directors Ltd received over 50 eggs and a chocolate bunny after launching their appeaol last month.

The eggs will be donated to children at a nearby refuge who have often had to leave home with few possessions and little money.

Funeral Director Nicola Jarmaine said: “The children are extremely grateful to people who remember them and appreciate the difficulties they are facing.  The Easter Eggs will be distributed amongst the children of all ages to help make Easter a special time for them."

"Iwould like to thank the many who delivered Easter Eggs to the office in Market Square helping to make this appeal so successful."
