A CHILDREN'S hospice was given a facelift by volunteers from one of its biggest supporters.
Haven House in Woodford Green welcomed staff from the London offices of Dutch bank ING, who rolled up their sleeves and got stuck into tidying up the hospice's grounds.
The 12-strong team planted some new additions to the garden, cleaned up flagstones, varnished wooden furniture, and gave a gazebo a makeover.
Siobhan Songour, who works at the hospice, said: “It was an absolute pleasure to have the team from ING along. [They] have provided us with invaluable support over the past few years.
“The team were committed to their tasks and did a brilliant job overall”
The volunteers gave their time last Thursday (April 7) to help prepare the hospice for the hundreds of visitors who are expected during a forthcoming series of fundraising events, starting with the Heroes Sponsored Walk on May 14.
