PROTECTION for vulnerable adults is to be increased under a new partnership between the council, police and health service.
Redbridge council, police and health services and other organisations for the elderly and frail are aiming to improve their communication and information-sharing in order to protect people who rely on them.
The move comes after new London-wide guidelines were released at the start of April to ensure that all relevant organisations use the same way of reporting cases of abuse of frail adults – for instance, those with mental illness – to reduce the chance that signs of abuse are missed.
