TWO young jewellery designers are setting their sights high after receiving the royal seal of approval from the future princess Kate Middleton.
When Semhal Zemikael, 25, and Natasha Faith, 24, of La Diosa, sent a blue Topaz pendant as a wedding gift to Miss Middleton, they did not expect to receive a note of thanks.
But a letter from Clarence House arived saying Miss Middleton was touched by the gift and would like to personally thank the pair.
Miss Zemikael, from Walthamstow, said: “It is fantastic to have this kind of recognition.
“We were really touched that she accepted our gift.”
This is not the first time the businesswomen, who work in the world-famous Hatton Garden, have been acknowledged by the royal family.
The creative pair, who met while studying at Sir George Monoux College in Chingford Road, Walthamstow, have designed jewellery for the Duchess of Cornwall, as well as the former Prime Minister's wife Sarah Brown.
Miss Zemikael added: "It is nice to look back and see our achievements.
"We are very ambitious and we have plans to build a global business."
