HORSES and ponies trotted into Spring during a fancy dress parade at one of the borough’s riding schools.
Riders at Aldersbrook Livery Stables, Empress Avenue, Wanstead, dressed the horses there in Easter-themed costumes for a parade, as well as making bonnets to decorate their riding hats yesterday (Wednesday).
The parade’s organiser, Chris Sherret, 52, who works at the stables, said: “We have done fancy dress before, but this is the first time we’ve done Easter bonnets and it seemed quite popular, so we’ll probably do it again.
“The children all got rosettes and eggs as prizes.”
