A 37-year-old man suffered facial injuries when he was violently kicked to the ground in a random attack outside Leytonstone underground station.
The victim had just left the Tube stop and was walking across Grove Green Road towards Fairlop Road at around 12.10am on Saturday (April 16) when it happened.
He remembers walking past two men before one of them suddenly kicked him in the back.
The man fell over and suffered injuries to his nose that later required hospital treatment.
The attackers then ran off in different directions, but the victim did not see where they went.
Police arrived at the scene minutes later but no witnesses came forward.
The two suspects are described as two eastern European men who were wearing denim jeans and trainers.
They both had short brown hair about the length of a 'number two' shave.
The first man was of a medium to large build.
The other suspect was of a large build and was wearing a light, thin coat.
Any witnesses or those with information are urged to call Waltham Forest Police on 020 3276 0966.
