A 38-year-old man was badly hurt in a stabbing following a row at a barbecue last night (Wednesday April 20).
The man suffered a cut to the head and wounds to his back and hip in the attack, which happened in Skeltons Lane, Leyton, at about 7.30pm.
He is currently in a serious but stable condition in hospital.
His injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.
No arrests have been made.
Police say it followed an altercation in or around the Skeltons Lane area following a barbecue in a nearby house.
Waltham Forest CID are investigating.
Police have been unable to get a description of any suspects from the victim.
