FIREFIGHTERS are still battling a large fire which spread across several warehouses.
Thirty firefighters and six fire engines are still tackling athe blaze in Billet Road, Walthamstow.
Nearby residents were forced to evacuate the area yesterday when the blaze started at about 4.20pm, as there were several gas cylinders inside the industrial units.
The fire had yet to be brought under control today, while heavy smoke still in the surrounding area.
No-one is thought to have been injured in the fire but the wind changed direction overnight, spreading the smoke across Walthamstow.
Fire brigades from Walthamstow, Leytonstone, Chingford, Woodford and surrounding fire stations attended the blaze.
