TWO men were injured when they were beaten round the head with a baseball bat.
It happened at around 10.30pm on Good Friday (April 22) on Walthamstow's Arcade site by Hoe Street and High Street.
Police say the victims, aged 34 and 47, were initially approached and slapped by their attacker.
He then ran off and returned with the weapon accompanied by two other men.
After striking the duo the group ran off along Hoe Street.
The victims were taken to the North Middlesex Hospital and Whipps Cross Hospital but were discharged soon after.
A police spokeswoman said the head injuries suffered were not serious.
She added that the force was keeping an open mind over a possible motive for the attack.
Part of the area was sealed off by police on Saturday morning (April 23) while officers investigated.
The main suspect is described as a white man aged between 20 and 30.
The police investigation is continuing.
