ABOUT 150 people took to the streets to mark Easter with a colourful parade.
They marched down The Broadway in Debden on Saturday as part of an Easter celebration organised by the Restore Community Church in Langston Road.
Church leader Ian King said: “We thought it would bring life to the streets, because what we wanted to do was celebrate Jesus rising from the dead at Easter.
“People were very receptive and stood and watched and generally enjoyed the spectacle.”
Musicians from the church joined the parade and members of other churches, including Loughton Methodist Church, Epping Forest Community Church and Loughton Baptist Church also took part.
