A LECTURER who was arrested after the suspected drug-related death of a teenage girl at his house has been badly injured after apparently leaping from a bridge.
Police have confirmed that Brian Dodgeon, 60, broke both legs when he fell on to the A406 North Circular by the Waterworks roundabout on the Walthamstow and Woodford border.
Mr Dodgeon, a lecturer at the University of London, is on bail on suspicion of child abandonment and possessing drugs following the death of 15-year-old Isobel Reilly.
She died at his Notting Hill home on Good Friday during a party.
Mr Dodgeon fell at 10.10am on Tuesday (May 3) and is now in a serious but stable condition in hospital.
The Sun newspaper said he parked his car in Walthamstow nearby shortly before falling.
A police spokesman said enquiries were on-going but added that the incident was not being treated as suspicious.
