POLICE have charged a man with causing death by careless driving after an accident in which an elderly pedestrian was killed.
Walter Morris, 76, from Loughton, was hit by a number 20 double decker bus in Church Hill, Loughton, at around 8am on August 23, 2010, and died in Queens Hospital, Romford, a three days later.
It is claimed that Mr Morris had been using the pedestrian crossing outside Homebase in Church Hill.
The 42-year-old man from north-west London is bailed to appear at Chelmsford Magistrates Court on July 15.
