POLICE arrested 13 men following a break in at a clothes shop in Buckhurst Hill in the early hours of this morning.
At around 3.40am on Tuesday, August 9, police were contacted by a number of people who saw a group of youths smashing the window of a clothes shop in Queens Road, Buckhurst Hill.
After attempting to flee on foot 11 men were arrested nearby. Two more were arrested this morning. All are aged in their teens and early 20s.
The police had played down reports of earlier incidents in the area.
On social networking site Twitter resident Jon Berg said: "Zap in Buckhurst Hill was attacked last night. Just drove past, window smashed, glass everywhere and one policeman is guarding."
Richard Astley said: "I go away from London for four nights and look what happens! We've even had pretty pathetic copy cat violence in Buckhurst Hill. Ridiculous."
The violence follows widespread rioting and looting thoughout London over the past three nights.
