Entry to the gig, in Blackhorse Lane, Walthamstow, is £6 or £5 with a band flyer.

Doors open at around 8pm.

Strange Doors plays the club on Saturday (August 13). Entry is £9 and doors are at 8pm.

The humorous and talented Stuart McNair plays Loughton Folk Club on Thursday (August 11).

Entry is £3 and doors to the venue, which is the Loughton Club in Station Road, open at 8pm.

Jazz act When The Cat's Away play Ye Olde Rose and Crown pub in Hoe Street, Walthamstow, on Tuesday (August 16). It's from 9pm in the main bar and is free.

Waltham Abbey Folk Club has a Singaround jam night on Monday (August 15). It's at the Royal British Legion HQ in Brooker Road and starts at 8.30pm. Entry is £1.50p.

The Event, Sheep Bo Peep and The Real Reason play the Harlow Square on Friday (August 12).

It costs £5, or £4 for members and starts at 8pm. Entry is over 16s only.

Jazz quintet Hot House perform at the Luna Lounge in Leytonstone this Sunday (August 14).

They specialise in classic bebop.

It starts at 7.30pm and entry is free.

The venue is in Church Lane.
