A WOMAN was hit in the face with a brick during an argument over cycling on the pavement.
A 27-year-old woman was walking with friends under a railway bridge from St James Street to Markhouse Road in Walthamstow at around 11.40pm.
They were approached by two teenagers on bicycles, who told the group to move out of the way.
This led to an argument and one of the boys rode away, but returned shortly after with a brick, which he threw at the victim.
She suffered serious facial injuries and is still being treated in hospital.
The attacker is described as black, aged about 17, wearing a grey hooded top.
The other cyclist is said to be aged about 16.
Anyone with information on the incident, which happened on August 8, is asked to contact Detective Sergeant Michelle Peters on 0203 2760962 or to remain anonymous call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
