POLICE reported another quiet night in the borough last night (Thursday).
After vandalism and disruption in Walthamstow and Leytonstone as part of the riots in London this week, police said they did not attend any incidents of looting or rioting in the borough overnight.
More than 1,000 people have been arrested after the disturbance and police announced this morning that they have charged a 15-year-old girl with attempted robbery and threatening violence in Lewisham, south London.
They have also charged a 16-year-old girl with two counts of robbery, attempted robbery, possession of a knife and threatening violence.
A murder investigation has begun after 68-year-old Richard Mannington Bowes died in hospital after being knocked unconscious while he tried to put out a fire in Ealing, west London.
