POLICE have renewed their appeal for information following a suspected hit-and-run in which a father-of-two died.

Keith Scrivener, 34, from Loughton, was found dead in Epping High Road by a lorry driver at 6.30am last Saturday (August 6).

A 51-year-old man from Woodford handed himself in to police the day after the crash and was arrested on suspicion of causing death by careless driving and failing to stop at the scene of a road traffic collision.

He has been bailed to return to police by November 6.

Police would now like to speak to anyone who saw a smartly dressed man walking from Epping Tube station towards Loughton, between 11.45pm on the Friday and 1.15am on Saturday, or a silver Toyota Hi Lux car.

Described as ‘the most amazing father’ by his family, Mr Scrivener leaves his wife of six years, Amy, a five-year-old daughter, three-year-old son, parents and a sister.

Officers conducted road checks last night between 11.30pm and 1am to speak to people who may have been in the area at the time of the collision.
