A HISTORY walk through one of the borough's best known streets is taking place today.
Residents are invited to take part in a free guided walk in High Street, Walthamstow, previously known as Marsh Street.
It used to be one of the most desirable residential roads in the area about 100 years ago.
In the early 20th Century, people visited the high street to go out to eat or to go to the cinema or the music hall.
Anyone who is interested is asked to meet in the town square today outside the Central Library at 2pm.
