A 31-YEAR-OLD man has been charged in connection with looting in Chingford which left three police officers injured.

Two officers were hit by a car driven by a suspected looter in Chingford Mount Road in the early hours of Monday (August 8).

The other officer was injured while confronting a group which had broken into the Aristocrat store.

Police have not revealed the charged man’s name, where he lives or what he is accused of.

Police initially planned to release CCTV of the incident, but the footage will now not be made public.

A spokesman said this was for unspecified operational reasons.
