THE roar of engines filled the air as crowds of spectators cheered on racers at a motorbike festival on Sunday.
Bikesfest on Sunday, August 14, drew motorcycle enthusiasts from all over the district to showcase their motors in parades and compete against each other in a series of closely fought races.
At the event, in North Weald Airfield, there were races of motorcycles of every shape and size, from three-wheelers to vintage motorbikes.
There was also a race open to all comers, in which bikes from every category competed.
The crowds enjoyed stalls, a beer tent and a display of new, electronic motorbikes.
A number of other organisations, including Essex Air Ambulance and the Department of Transport, gave road safety demonstrations.
