The council have organised a bus to tour the parks of Redbridge in an effort to connect with young people.
The 12-day tour follows a meeting of prominent business, faith and voluntary leaders with Borough Commander, Detective Chief Superintendent Sue Williams.
At the meeting in Ilford Town Hall last Thursday (August 11), it was agreed more work needed to be done with young people in the borough.
As a first step to meeting that request Redbridge Council in conjunction with the police agreed to send a bus full of local police and youth workers out to listen to young people’s views.
The first two stops were at Seven Kings Park and Loxford Park, earlier today (August 15).
The bus will be visiting several of Redbridge’s green spaces, finishing up with a trip to Valentines Park on August 26.
