A BOY has been charged with assaulting a man and causing criminal damage in the KFC in Loughton.
On Monday, August 15, at about 5pm, in the restaurant in the High Road, a man collapsed after being punched in the face and stomach.
At about 9pm that same evening a pane of glass in the door of the KFC was smashed and a till punched, causing a screen to crack.
A 14-year-old schoolboy from Buckhurst Hill was arrested that night and charged with assault, public order and criminal damage offences the following day.
The boy was also charged with violent disorder over an incident in which a police car was attacked in Buckhurst Hill on August 8 and will appear at Harlow Youth Court on August 26.
