ASPIRING celebrities are waiting to hear if they have made it into the next series of reality show The Only Way is Essex.
The hopefuls lined up for auditions at Nu Bar in Loughton High Road on Wednesday, after the show’s producers Lime Pictures announced that they were looking for new stars.
Hoping to become the show’s new Amy and Arg, who starred as a couple on the show before splitting up, were Francesca Gerrett, 17 of Chingford High Road and her 19-year-old boyfriend Charlie Palline, of Windsor Road, Wanstead.
Francesca said: “The show’s funny. I like Amy Childs and I like how (the programme) portrays the area and brings a bit of glamour.”
Jessica-Anne Fegan, 20, who works as a glamour model around Loughton as well as in several shops, has appeared on the show before and was hoping for a more major role in the next series.
“I loved it and thought ‘why not go back?’,” she said. “The people are as real as they are on TV. They’re exactly as you see them.”
