A POLICEMAN has been fined a total of £345 after injuring a driver in a car crash.
Pc Daniel Pipes, 23, who is based at Loughton Police Station, admitted driving without due care and attention on Church Hill, Loughton, on December 27 last year.
A court heard that he was trying to overtake a Ford Mondeo while it was pulling into a petrol station when he hit, it, causing it to spin. The driver suffered whiplash.
Pipes was ordered to pay £250,costs of £80 and a victim surcharge of £15 at Southend Magistrates Court on August 12, as well as clocking up six points on his driving licence.
