THE best roads to live on in South Woodford and Woodford Green have been named by a London property magazine.
The Drive, in South Woodford, was named the area’s best residential street in Homes and Property magazine’s website, for its “fine Edwardian mansions with carriage drives”.
The Monkhams estate in Woodford Green, which includes Monkhams Drive, Monkhams Avenue and Queens Avenue, was also praised for its “attractively detailed, large detached and semi-detached Edwardian and Twenties houses.”
But, the report says, property prices have risen accordingly. The price of family houses has risen per square foot to about £350, with about £500 achieved in the best locations.
