WHILE the district’s teenagers celebrated their GCSE results this week, adults across the county were also finding out how they did in the exams.
The Adult Community Learning scheme for Essex announced that 75 per cent of people studying for a GCSE later in life gained an A* to C grade and 95 per cent passed.
Jeremy Lucas, the county council’s cabinet member for environment and culture, said: “Many of our learners juggle studying with employment, family life or training and it is always incredibly satisfying to see such great results.”
