THE latest figures for the number of arrests and charges made over the riots that took place across London earlier this month have been released.
A total of 2,082 people have been arrested so far, including 444 under-18s, and 1,191 have been charged.
Police could not say whether any of those arrested were linked to the assault of 27-year-old Alice Youngman, who was attacked with a brick at St James Street station in Walthamstow on August 8, or any of the vandalism or looting that took place in the borough as part of the riots.
In neighbouring Redbridge, four arrests were made on Wednesday (August 24) in connection with the disturbance.
Anyone with information on rioters should call the police on the non-emergency number 101.
