THE Victoria underground line remains suspended in Walthamstow following a nightmare day of delays and closures.
Late-running engineering works caused major delays early this morning and were made worse at the peak of morning rush hour following a signal failure at Seven Sisters.
This afternoon the service is suspended between King's Cross and Walthamstow Central, and it is unclear when it will reopen.
Blackhorse Road, the other Victoria Line stop in Walthamstow, is also affected.
The Guardian is awaiting further details from Transport for London (TfL).
Travellers are being advised to avoid the line altogether. Tickets are being accepted on buses and alternative routes, such as on the National Express East Anglia line between Liverpool Street and Chingford.
