CONTROVERSIAL plans to build a two-storey side and single-storey rear extension to a house in Chingford look set to be approved, despite objections.

Applicant Lewis Hall is seeking permission for the structure in Dove House Gardens.

However 24 households have objected amid concerns that it will negatively impact on the appearance of the street.

But council officers are recommending the application be approved because they considered it "acceptable in appearance and scale".

Councillors will make a decision at a planning meeting on Tuesday September 6 at Waltham Forest Town Hall in Forest Road, Walthamstow. It starts at 7.30pm.
