ROCK promoters Club Bus Wind hold a special night at the Standard in Walthamstow this Friday (September 2).
Acts playing include The Chambers and Wide Boy Generation. Support comes from Secret Smile and High Heels and Low Lifes.
It costs £7 on the door, and opens around 8pm.
Then on Saturday (September 3) The Hamsters play the venue, in Blackhorse Lane, as part of their 25th anniversary farewell tour.
It costs £12 and doors are at 8pm.
Alternatively, the Brytyungthings (yes, that is how it's spelt, apparently) play The North Star pub on Saturday (September 3).
The local three-piece band describe their music as “powerfully melodic and emotive”.
Support for the gig, at the venue in Browning Road, Leytonstone, comes from the unique Arthur Dust.
It starts from 7.30pm.
Jazz act Los Otros play Ye Olde Rose and Crown pub in Hoe Street, Walthamstow, next Tuesday (September 6) in the main bar.
It's free and from 9pm.
On Wednesday (September 7), the venue has an Open Mic night hosted by Graham Larkbey and friends.
All performers and styles welcome. It starts at 8.30pm.
Kirsty Keogh headlines Loughton Folk Club on Thursday (September 1).
She is known for her rhythmic, soulful yet funky sound.
It costs £3, with a £1 discount for members.
Doors open at 8pm. It's at the Loughton Club in Station Road.
Walthamstow Folk Club returns from a summer break with a show by Anonyma, otherwise known as Anne Lister and Mary McLaughlin.
It is on Sunday (September 4) and costs £6, with a £1 discount for concessions.
It's at Ye Olde Rose Crown pub in Hoe Street.
Waltham Abbey Folk Club has a singaround night on Monday (September 5). It's in Brooker Road from 8.30pm, and costs £1.50p.
Swiss punk rockers The Peacocks play The Square in Harlow on Friday (September 2).
Support comes from Harlow garage rockabilly band The Ladykillers.
Doors open at 8pm and it costs £7 in advance.
Entry is over 16s only.
