A GIRLS ALOUD singer became an ambassador for Barnardo’s children’s charity today.
Nicola Roberts was awarded an ambassadorial role in recognition of her “outstanding commitment and support of the charity.”
The pop star visited Barnardo’s head office in Tanners Lane, Barkingside, to receive her award from chief executive Anne Marie Carrie before going on a tour of the site.
She said: “I’m a huge supporter of the charity and all of its work in helping the most disadvantaged children and young people and I feel extremely honoured to take on an Ambassadorial Role.
“I can’t wait to learn more about the work of the charity and to promote this worthwhile cause.”
Ms Carrie said: “Our celebrity ambassadors help us in so many ways from fundraising to awareness building and networking opportunities. Nicola’s support is invaluable and this ambassadorial role is well deserved”.
