COMPETITIVE dads played against their children in a series of charity football matches last weekend.
The matches were played at the Abbey Youth football club’s playing fields in Hillhouse, Waltham Abbey, on Saturday, August 27.
Over £100 was raised for the Get Kids Going charity, which provides disabled children with specially designed wheelchairs.
Older club members also mentored younger children.
Keith Andrews, 38, organised the event.
Mr Andrews, who lives in Orchard Gardens in Waltham Abbey, said: “The day was a great success.
“My highlight was beating the kids again. As they get older they get closer and closer to beating us but we just managed to win.
“It was great to see everyone get together and the older ones passing on their skills.”
