Queens Park Rangers boss Neil Warnock has revealed the club were close to agreeing a deal to bring Craig Bellamy to Loftus Road.
The Welsh striker eventually secured a move back to former club Liverpool on deadline day after Manchester City had allowed him to leave the club for free.
But after Warnock spoke to Bellamy he found out the 32-year-old was set on a move back to the Merseyside club.
