TIME will turn back to the 1950s and ‘60s this weekend when classic London buses return to Loughton.
The third Classic London Bus Day will take place on Sunday, September 11, when up to five antique buses from private museums line at and around Loughton Tube Station.
They will drive bus routes from the ‘50s and ‘60s from Loughton, visiting places including Waltham Abbey, Epping, Chigwell, South Woodford and Abridge, each lasting between 20 minutes and one hour.
The event follows the success of the last one in 2009, which attracted more than 1,800 people.
A programme detailing the bus times and locations will be available at an information point at the station on the day, which starts at 11am and runs until 5pm.
There will be a one-off evening journey to Abridge from the station at 7pm. All journeys are free and spaces are allocated on a first-come-first-served basis.
