A POLICEMAN will be riding up three mountains on his bike for charity.
Over this week Jim Collin, 46, from York Road, North Weald, will be cycling up mount Snowdon in Wales, Scafell Pike in the Lake District, and Ben Bevis in Scotland, the highest of them all.
He will be climbing 11,000 feet and crossing 450 miles over the course of the week, all on two wheels.
Mr Collin, who is a Metropolitan Police officer, is undertaking the challenge to raise £1,000 for The Box, an Epping-based charity that provides counselling and social activities for young people.
Mr Collin said: “It‟s a daunting challenge, but all the hard work will be worth it. As a police officer I know how important this work with young people is and I‟m really looking forward to supporting The Box.”
